A strong and distinctive brand was successfully established in a previously underdeveloped category within the South African market. Public adoption exceeded expectations, with restaurants fully booked weeks in advance. Within just one year of launch, Salsa Mexican Grill was acquired by Famous Brands. During our four-year partnership, the brand grew to over 20,000 social media followers, expanded to 11 franchised stores, and secured a leading position in the Mexican dining segment.

The Salsa Mexican Grill brand identity was crafted to be bold, playful, and full of life — just like Mexico’s colorful street markets. Social Bite Media joined the journey as the brand’s internal agency, bringing the passion for authentic Mexican food and vibrant culture to life

Our experiential marketing brought Salsa’s story to life, inviting South Africans to experience the vibrant energy of Mexico’s famous street markets. Through colorful events celebrating traditions like Día de los Muertos ( Day of the Dead) and Cinco de Mayo, customers were transported into the heart of Mexican culture.
